Curb Appeal, Autumn Edition
Let's take a field trip — to all of our favorite fall exteriors from HGTV Magazine. Along the way, you'll see orange and red foliage, wide front porches, cozy accessories, rocking chairs and more. The best part? You don't even have to leave your couch.
Fall-ing for History
This Victorian has major fall fanfare: double front doors, lots of lattice, a stately color scheme and, most importantly, four Adirondack chairs to hunker down in on crisp Autumn nights. A shadblow serviceberry tree grows in the middle of the yard, while white marguerite daisies bloom to its left. And, of course, the 1871 structure deserves to show off its age with a super-cool "year built" plaque (you'll find it hanging to the left of the front door).

100 Years of Cozy
Hanging out on the deep porch of this 1920 Colonial never gets old for the family who lives here — especially in the fall. Charming details — brick steps, corbels and diamonds on the porch columns — kick up the curb appeal. Bright potted flowers add color.

Autumnal Elegance
This 1913 beauty screams fall year-round thanks to a muted, earthy color palette. Come October, however, orange foliage only amplifies its autumnal elegance. Pots on the steps contain eye-catching combos of yellow and fuchsia mums, spider plants, coleus and jasmine. The star of the show: Virginia creeper stretched across the stucco exterior (homeowners trim it annually).

A Warm Welcome
This 2013 build has major fall porch appeal. Mahogany columns set on stone veneer bases make it regal and warm, while a copper roof above the porch wows. To enjoy the season, homeowners spread out bright yellow rocking chairs and cheery pumpkins. The front yard features hardy plants, including Emerald Green arborvitae trees and ornamental grasses, Knockout roses and hostas.

Simple and Natural
Designer Brian Patrick Flynn knew what he was doing with this dreamy Montana exterior. Big Sky Country style: stained wood siding (Thicket by Cabot) and natural stone ooze autumn ambiance. Patterned porch chairs topped with blue pillows bring the cozy.

A Bonfire Beauty
Copper roofing, long, shutterless windows and a bright front door bring modern boho flair to this Texas Craftsman. Its best fall feature: a footed fire pit surrounded by wooden chairs (complete with a Southwestern-style pillow). Bring on chilly fall bonfires and knitted throw blankets.

Pretty With Pumpkins
With lattice-pattern grilles, bumped-out windows, a sloping roofline and a stone façade, this fairytale-like cottage looks right at home amidst yellow-leaved trees, Endless Summer hydrangea, alpine Japanese spirea and dwarf Hinoki cypress shrubs. The flower pots are filled with mums and ornamental cabbage. Orange chairs complement the best fall porch accessories around: pumpkins.

Fall Flowers Abound
Black double doors and shutters make this sweet home regal, but it's the year-round greenery and fall flowers (wild-looking stonecrop, coneflowers and boxwood) lining the picket fence that really make it shine. “The garden continues to amaze us with its constant blooms through fall,” says the homeowner. Don't miss the fluffy holly and Russian sage — they fill the space under the windows.

Charming Touches
A rustic fall color palette (burgundy siding and gold trim) dressed the outside of this 1885 farmhouse right up. The porch boasts a tin roof and decorative columns, while a delightful wooden gate offers a warm welcome.
