Whiskey Buck Cocktail Recipe
Relive the swinging '60s with this simple, retro cocktail featuring whiskey, lime and ginger syrup.

Makes 1 cocktail
Ingredients
50 ml Irish whiskey
1 tablespoon ginger syrup (recipe follows)
Fresh lime juice
Lime and grapefruit to garnish
Directions
In a highball glass, squeeze the juice of one lime wedge. Fill glass with ice cubes. Add Irish whiskey and ginger syrup and stir briefly. Garnish with lime and grapefruit wedge.
Ginger Syrup
Ingredients
1 cup water
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
Directions
Heat water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add sugar, stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, add lemon juice and ginger and steep for a few minutes. Strain through cheesecloth to remove the ginger pulp. Cool mixture.
Makes 1 cup of ginger syrup, enough for several cocktails.
