For a fun twist on the classic, yet complicated, croquembouche, try this donut-hole version instead. A Styrofoam cone serves as the base and toothpicks secure the powdered donut balls in place.

Here, a place is set with eye-catching layers for texture, color and a welcoming feel. Dainty floral china looks just right paired with a speckled charger atop a folded, gold-printed napkin. “We used mismatched china and glasses to give an elegant but eclectic and intimate vibe,” says Dominguez.

Little Details

Eiffel Tower charms are playful additions to glassware stems. The center of the table gets an unexpected touch with a foundation layer of music-sheet paper.

Beautiful Blooms

Skip the fussy floral arrangements and go for a centerpiece in keeping with the theme. Here, a vintage cloche shows off a clever stack of topsy-turvy teacups finished with a pretty silk bloom.

Snack On

Says Dominguez, “We wanted to set up a table and food spread that was representative of a French bistro: paper-and-twine-wrapped baguettes, wine, jams, honey, grapes, a variety of cheeses and an assortment of mouth-watering pastries.”

Gifts for Baby

After the eats, it’s time for mom to open her presents. An antique chandelier and elegant wingback chair make for an especially chic outdoor setting.

DIY Ring Toss

Glittery wine and champagne bottles are tucked amongst pretty bottles of various heights. The rings are wrapped with washi tape in classic baby hues of blue, pink and yellow. Learn how to DIY this cute setup here.

Themed Backdrop

A glitter-decorated paper Eiffel Tower, along with a few pretty props, makes for a great photo op for fun and memorable shots. "People love taking photos with their friends, and setting up a designated area with a specialized backdrop will make the event even more of a hit," says graphic designer Erin Reas.

At the end of the day, send guests on their way with beautifully-boxed macarons topped with a sweet thank-you tag. Au revoir!
