Picture-Perfect Asian Bath

This room was hand-painted to create the feeling of being in a Japanese gazebo overlooking the cherry blossoms. The mural was derived from photographs taken from a gazebo overlooking the Royal Palace gardens in Tokyo. The honey onyx countertop complements the warm mahogany cabinetry that resembles the lines in the painting. Design by Jennifer Duneier in New York City

Modern Design

This modern Asian bathroom incorporates tranquil elements like bamboo and tea light candles to create a serene, spa-like feel. The stainless steel structures hanging from the ceiling represent a bamboo and reed shade trellis. The mixture of color and textures also contributes to the modern feel, while still maintaining the Asian flair. Photo by Rio Costantini. Design by Danenberg Design

Blue and Bamboo Spa

This Zen-inspired spa room was designed for a relaxing experience with a little Asian fusion. The grand Jacuzzi tub is filled by water from a ceiling fixture and surrounded by a multicolored blue glass tile mosaic. The wall sconces and candlelight cast ample lighting throughout the space, and a hand-carved chair and bamboo-inlayed dresser provide stylish storage and seating while complementing the Zen feel.
