Oceanfront Home With Airy Transformation

It's hard to believe that this light and airy home once suffered from a serious case of wood paneling. Because the dark, 1970s wall treatment detracted from the ocean views and made the floor plan feel cramped, Blackband Design stripped the interior and installed a series of huge picture windows. Neutral furniture completes the transformation.

Upon entering the foyer, a few steps lead visitors into a gleaming white living room filled with natural light compliments of a wall of glass. Large windows dominate the space, and pops of blue and yellow color are bright and cheery.

Coastal Family Living Room with White Couch and Glass Table

The family space has a casual feel. Plush, soft sofa and chairs and a big TV are the way to unwind. A gray rug anchors the space. Wall length windows let in plenty of light, so a glass coffee table keeps the room feeling open and airy.

The gleaming white kitchen has a L-shaped island seating as well as a round glass dining table with seating for four. The large windows allow for amazing ocean views from the kitchen and dining spaces.

Lustrous White Kitchen Has Loads of Light

Surrounded by windows, this shining white kitchen is practically glowing. Glass front cabinets and open shelves keep the space airy and not weighed down. Wood floors, gray countertops and barstools and an exposed beam and range hood accent all provide relief from the brilliant white. A small glass table with white chairs provides seating, along with an L-shaped island. Taken all together, the design is gorgeous and works together beautifully.

White Coastal Kitchen with Exposed Beam

This bright, airy kitchen features a large island with a sink and plenty of prep space. The island also features a waterfall edge counter in an L-shape, perfect for family to gather around the island to share a meal. A gorgeous chandelier hangs over the island. A wood ceiling beam is left natural to draw the eye and compliments the wood accent on the range hood.

Not wanting to forget Fido, designers included a dog food and watering area into the cabinetry design to make feeding time easier and out of the way. No more spilling the dog water on the floor!
