Inside this outdoor workspace, designer Vanessa Matsalla placed a desk facing three of the four cardinal directions so that the homeowners could take advantage of the space's optimal lighting. To diffuse some of the light from the morning and afternoon sun, translucent Roman shades were added to the windows.
