Dreamy Destination

This adorable treehouse chalet, located in Whitefish, Montana, is the ultimate ski-in/ski-out destination. The chalet is part of the Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort and one of three spectacular homes available for rent just steps away from the slopes.

Named After Nature

As a clever nod to their treehouse style, each one of the three Snow Bear Chalets is named after an indigenous species of tree. The Tamarack boasts two bedrooms and was constructed by the same company that built the HGTV Dream Home in 2019. FUN FACT: The tamarack tree looks a lot like a Christmas tree, but it’s 40-feet tall, sheds its needles and thrives on steep slopes.

Charming Architectural Details

Each treehouse was constructed with a mix of woods and designed to look like an upscale Swiss chalet. From the sloping roofline and welcoming turret to the expansive windows and gorgeous outdoor deck, the home’s beauty rivals that of its surroundings.

Sleep Amongst the Canopy

Homeowner, Gail Goodwin, helped design the cantilevered first-floor bedroom to feel like a cozy nest perched among the treetops. Sumptuous linens and throw pillows create a luxurious haven for rest after a day on the slopes. Beautifully crafted multipanel barn doors slide across the space for added privacy.

Year-Round Views

During the off-season of fall, you’ll enjoy gorgeous views of the colorful foliage and mountainside from the private balcony. In winter, you can wave to fellow skiers in the nearby lift and relish the snow-covered wonderland.

Island in the Forest

Enjoy more stunning views from the kitchen’s generous island. A mix of natural woods, stone and a pop of on-trend color keeps the space rustic yet contemporary.

Full Amenities With Style

Whether you’re gazing out one of the many picture windows or whipping up something delicious on the stove, you’ll always enjoy the views. The kitchen’s unique backsplash is actually a steel laser-cut vista of Whitefish Mountain.

Elegant Mountain Decor

The chalets feature plenty of architectural detail inside, including exposed beams and rustic hardwoods. A live-edge bench in the mudroom is a nice design detail that helps give the space a rustic vibe. Book your trip at the Snow Bear Chalets website.
