Neon Screen Print
Etsy shop owner Morgan Georgie dressed up a plain white wall with bold artwork like this neon pink ampersand print. She printed the ampersand with neon pink ink on clipboard stock. Use a white frame to make the print stand out even more, and place the print on a fireplace mantel, home office desk or hang it on a wall.
Playful Neon Sink
A simple, small powder room adjacent to a playroom is given a pop of color with a neon green sink. Melanie Morris of Morris and Woodhouse Interiors chose this neon green sink because it resembles a kid's toy. Incorporate simple materials like gray floor tiling and white subway tile so the eye immediately jumps to the sink. "When utilizing neon on a space, I think it is important to use it sparingly to not overdo it, but it is also important not to be afraid of color," she says.
Bright Home Office Accessory
A home office can easily look cluttered and too structured. Heather Davidson of Joy of All Crafts spruced up her home office desk with a vibrant rope basket to hold office supplies. She made the basket from simple materials found at a hardware store and added a neon pink cord for a striped effect.
Mix It With Neutrals
Designer Ana Donohue mixed traditional and contemporary styles in this dining room. The lacquered buffet table and neon artwork add unexpected pops to the mostly neutral space. The mixture of neutrals allows the buffet table to stand out.
A Bold Entrance
Make a statement when guests first arrive at your home with a neon front door. Designer Nathan Fischer went with a bright yellow color to create a striking contrast against the neutral exterior and to set the tone for the rest of the home.
Not Your Average Beach House
Many people choose soft color palettes when decorating a beach house. Designer Natalie Umbert incorporated classic Eames chairs in bright red to break up the monochromatic color palette, while still keeping true to the rustic beach theme.
Chalkboard Accent Wall
The neon green accent wall in this contemporary living area is actually chalkboard paint, so you can write messages or add bold artwork to complement it. The punch of color evokes an eclectic feel to the space. Design by Francesco Di Sarra of Capoferro Design Build Group
Use It With Masculine Furnishings
Designer Jennifer Jones incorporated some bright color in this modern bachelor pad. The pops of neon color in the artwork are carried through to the throw pillows, while the rest of the space features masculine color tones.
An Inexpensive Way to Add Color

DIY Animal Garland
Combine two hot trends with an easy-to-create animal garland. Erin Loechner of Design for Mankind purchased toy dinosaurs at a discount store, spray painted them in various neon colors, screwed the dinosaurs' backs and inserted screw eyes. Place twine through the hangers and place it in a home office, kid's room or any room you desire.
Look to the Ceiling
The concrete ceiling in this mod living room has beams to cover the power line to the fan, which gave architect Yavuz Anahtar a good opportunity to add some color to the space. The neon accent wall and beams bring life to the all-white space. Photo by Berkay Demirkan
Simple Touches of Neon
Bring some pizzazz to your everyday decor with a little neon-colored tape and ribbon. Heather tied neon yellow and pink ribbon around decanters for an easy way to incorporate color. She covered a basic vase with Washi tape in bright neon colors for a striped effect — and it's easy to remove, so you can change the design whenever you want.
Bring Life to Your Floor
A tiny dining corner shines with a neon blue cowhide rug. A glass table and room divider paired with plastic chairs keeps things light, while the neutral accessories anchor the space — allowing all attention to be put on the rug. Design by Luis Caicedo
Neon furnishings are incorporated throughout this swanky modern loft. The metallic silver art above the fireplace creates a stark contrast against the neon orange wall. Oversized neon artwork on the opposite wall and outdoor chairs connect the indoor and outdoor spaces. Design by Pangaea
Color in the Bedroom
Designer Genevieve Gorder brings color to a rustic nightstand with a neon yellow lamp. The simple shape of the lamp allows the color to shine without seeming too over-the-top, and the gray lampshade ties in the color of the ikat headboard for an integrated look.
Make a Splash in Your Kitchen
Sleek modern kitchen stools are an easy way to add a pop of color to a kitchen and can easily be switched out when it's time to redesign the space. The neon orange stools coordinate with the elm veneer and white lacquer cabinetry and glass tile backsplash, giving the space an inviting yet chic look. Design by David Sharff Architect
Different Shades of Neon
The bold artwork in this expansive living area brings energy to the space. Designer Celia Berliner selected the painting for its different shades of neon that stand out against the neutral furnishings and deep red sectional sofa.
An Open Space With Color
Incorporate some color into an open space with neon-inspired furniture. Brian Patrick Flynn added bold color to the light blue wall through a neon yellow mirror frame and carried the color through to the office chair. White cabinets and a desk add a refreshing look.
Floral-patterned neon chairs are one of the only sources of color in this ultra-mod dining space. Designer Andreea Avram Rusu brought in an extra splash of color through framed lithographs. A large vintage mirror opens up the space.
Bright Bathroom Wall
Neon can be a part of your bathroom while still keeping a serene, spa-like look. Designer Erica Islas painted one part of the bathroom wall a neon blue color and kept all other elements white. A silver vessel sink delivers a contemporary vibe, while wooden accents soften the look.
Throw a Neon-Inspired Party
Mix neutral place cards with neon accents for your next dinner party. Simply grab a neon paint pen and write on natural card stock for a standout look. Finish the look by applying neon Washi tape to glass vases. Design by Heather Davidson
