There's a reason that this main bedroom feels so unique: its colors were inspired by an heirloom painting. With dark green walls, golden curtains and light furnishings, the space is at once moody and sleep-inducing.

In the center of the room, a four poster bed with soft sage linens invites the owners to relax after a long day at the office. A dark wood nightstand complements the piece and keeps evening essentials like books and glasses of water within reach.

Across from the four poster bed, a custom built-in houses the owners' flat screen TV and keeps their clothes organized. The front of the drawers were covered with mesh and matched with handsome brass and glass hardware.

Brass-and-glass hardware adds a luxe touch to the drawers and complements the gold light fixtures. Stacks of books make this main bedroom feel cozy and lived-in, too.

In addition to a comfortable siting area, complete with two armchairs and a tufted ottoman, this main bedroom boasts a sewing station. Desk drawers with detailed mesh fronts speak to the built-ins nearby.

The sewing station has custom spools for the homeowners needlepoint threads, too. A chinoiserie vase with hydrangeas echoes the blue of the chair cushion and completes this corner.
