Choose Proper Frame
It's important to know the dimensions of the baby shoes you plan to display before choosing the proper shadowbox. Take shoes with you to the store, or jot down the height, width and length of each shoe. Opt for a frame which not only has the proper height, width and depth for your shoes, but also take into account how its finish will complement the shoes' texture, color and style.
Select a color and texture of scrapbook paper which will highlight your baby shoes most effectively. Tip: White, black and natural tones tend to work best so as not to clash with any colors or patterns in shoes; however, shiny, solid-white shoes work well when placed against boldly colored scrapbook paper.
Sometimes a stronger visual story can be told when an image of your child is added into the box along with his/her baby shoes. If you decide to incorporate an image, be sure to choose one which reads well from different angles and at different distances from the shadowbox; faces photographed at close range work best.
