Potato-Stamped Kitchen Towels: Materials

All you need to make one-of-a-kind stamped kitchen towels are potatoes, a sharp kitchen knife, fabric paint, 100% cotton kitchen towels and an iron.

Create Stamp

Cut the potato in half and carve your stamps. Start by lightly “drawing” your design with the knife. Then cut away all of the excess potato around your design. Keep your designs simple.

Stamp Towels

Lay the kitchen towel flat on a smooth surface. Lightly press the stamp into the paint and then onto the fabric. You can stamp your design two or three times before it will need to be inked up again.
