About the Show

This spinoff of the wildly popular HGTV House Hunters globe trots from Sao Paolo to Prague. Home hunters and their real estate agents check out all sorts of architectural styles and work through the idiosyncrasies of buying real estate in other countries. But self-described country boy Matt, didn't want to live in another, even bigger city. He wanted some land spreading out far and wide, so hitting the internet, they discovered a little artists village about 45 minutes away called Sitges that sounded right up their alley, with narrow cobblestone streets, beautiful architecture and fabulous beaches. Not to mention great weather. But they still have to come to an agreement about whether to live out of town by the beach, or in town near the train to Barcelona, so Susan's commute doesn't increase to over an hour.

Searching for the right combination of accessibility and affordability, they've decided their ideal location is 65 miles northeast of Rome in the original city for lovers: St. Valentine's birthplace, Terni. Although Terni is quite affordable compared with larger Italian cities, Rachael and Tom have drastically different opinions on what constitutes affordable, and they'll have to figure out a way to compromise if they hope to obtain their Italian life of leisure.
