Spring Bursts Forth in an Ebullient Arrangement
Distinct components give this colorful, energetic arrangement a unique three-dimentional pop of tone-spanning pinks, with fresh green and natural wood complements.
Flower Arrangement Components
This large, open design has a number of interesting details. Under the arching scented branches of an apple tree, pink double hyacinths, tulips and double red tulips push their way through small mounds of moss that recreate a grass lawn (image 1).
Using terra-cotta pots and natural wood with bulbs and blossom conveys a sense of the garden coming to life in spring as gardeners dust off their tools in the potting shed (image 2).
Although yellow is the color most often associated with spring, we've chosen pink-bearing bulbs to complement the tall branches of apple blossom at the back of the design (image 3).
Celebrate Spring Bouquet with a Vibrant Bouquet
The contrasting blues and oranges of this vibrant hand-tied bouquet make the blooms sing with intensity. This arrangement makes a gorgeous Mother's Day gift or, in an orange or black glass vase, a sensational centerpiece.
Pitcher Perfect: A Relaxed Lilac Arrangement
The lush, natural abundance of the countryside is captured perfectly by this uncomplicated, freshly picked arrangement. If you can't find lilacs, or the other flowers featured, any other garden flower will work equally well.
Sweet Peas Keep it Simple
This small vase arrangement of a few loose sweet peas shows that less really is more sometimes. Its intimate scale, delicate look, subtle hues and light fragrance provide an irresistable sensory delight.
Picture Perfect: an Indoor Cherry Blossom Arrangement
Japanese painting is the inspiration for this stunning yet simple celebration of spring - an informal, front-facing vase arrangement that looks like a tree in blossom. This design suits a large, airy hall, living room, porch or lobby.
How to Make an Easy Macrame Plant Hanger
By using basic supplies from the hardware store, you can make this easy macrame hanger to display your favorite houseplant. This project can be adjusted to fit any planter, and since the rope is polyester, you can also hang this project outdoors.
How to Make Spring Chalkboard Pots
Inexpensive terra cotta pots get a playful makeover with chalkboard paint; fill with blooming bulbs for a cheery pop of spring color.
Turn Paint Chips Into Geometric DIY Wall Art
DIY decorators tend to make frequent visits to the paint store — and the paint chip rack. Repurpose the extras as a colorful, geometric piece of art that perfectly matches your space.
DIY Wall Art: Make a Custom Corkboard World Map
A fun way to mark where you've been and where you're going, a large world map made out of cork gives you limitless possibilities.
Turn Leaves and Foliage Into DIY Canvas Wall Art
Turn to your backyard for the main materials for this artwork project. A few clippings of foliage and some spray paint transform a blank canvas into bright, modern wall art.
How to Make a Rope Rug
Use thick rope and silicone paint to create a chic doormat that will add a splash of color to any entryway. The polyester rope and smooth paint are durable enough for snow-covered boots or wet spring shoes.
