This contemporary art mobile based on the work of Alexander Calder (famous for his modern mobiles) adds movement and keeps the walls free of clutter.Materials:
marker
sheet metal
spray paint
utility knife
fishing wire
metal cutting saw
small steel rods
hammer
nail
ceiling hook
Steps:
1. Trace or draw simple geometric shapes onto sheet metal, and then cut each out with a utility knife (figure A). Punch a hole or two in each piece as desired with a hammer and nail for hanging purposes. Paint as desired and let dry.
2. Attach fishing wire to the shapes and the other side of each to the rods.
3. Hang from the ceiling by fishing wire and a hook.
