High-powered all-purpose cleaners aren’t always suitable for delicate finishes or natural materials. And don’t overlook yearly maintenance if a surface requires it. Sealing grout and stone not only keeps them looking good, it can also help prevent future stains.

If space is tight, stick to essentials like glass cleaner, a deodorizing room spray, and an all-purpose cleaner for stickier messes. Keep paper towel on hand and invest in a few quality microfiber cleaning cloths, because they’re eco-friendly and perfect for light cleaning and dusting.

If you have pets, you know the value of a lint roller, so stash a few in your cleaning station. Pet hair and dander on upholstery, bedding, and lampshades can wreak havoc on a guest's allergies, so it's important to remove it regularly. HINT: Weekly lint rolling is an ideal job for the kiddos- they’ll think it’s fun!
