European-Style Space
This luxe space off the main bedroom and closet has an appealing open layout. “The main bathroom is European-style, which means there is no stopping point between the wet space and the dry space,” says designer Brain Patrick Flynn. “Instead, the floor is just sloped just enough in the shower to account for any of the water that comes out while you’re taking a shower.”

Blue Beauty
The walls of this main bath are painted a dynamic blue color. This same deep, saturated hue with a vibrant undertone was also used for the bedroom in the first-floor guest suite. “In here, it’s surrounded by so much white, it actually takes on more of an electric blue feeling,” says designer Brian Patrick Flynn.

Light and Privacy
This spacious window overlooks the front yard and brings lots of natural light inside, but includes frosted film that adds privacy without obscuring the beautiful light. “The front facing window was planned to coordinate well with the freestanding soaking tub,” says build manager Dylan Eastman.

Soak Away Stress

Open Shower
The spacious spa-like shower has no partition at all, which makes the main bathroom feel especially open and airy. “While you’re taking a shower you have a clear view through the rest of the room into the house, and then you can also see out to the front,” says designer Brian Patrick Flynn.

Soothing Sensation

Blue and White
The white shelves pop against the blue walls, and match the white trim on the windows, bathroom door, and baseboard that give this space definition.

User-Friendly Layout
The open shelves are also easily accessible from the double vanity, so essentials are never too far from reach. A large woven basket below the open shelves offers a handy way to keep used towels and dirty clothes off the floor, so they stay ready for a trip to the laundry room.

Contrasting Tiles
The smaller tiles used under the tub and for the shower floor provide good grip for wet feet, and provide contrast for the larger porcelain tiles used for the rest of the bathroom floor and shower walls.
