Mix and Match
Designed by Brian Patrick Flynn, the kitchen uses a mix of modern and rustic elements that sing together—for example, the oil-rubbed antique-look bronze pendants over the island and the sleek stainless-finish faucet and refrigerator blend harmoniously for a chic vibe.

Rustic Meets Refined
Here in the kitchen bar prep station, the same rustic/modern mix is in play: old-fashioned vintage ceramic pitchers complement polished green clay subway tile and a modern stainless Trinsic® Single Handle Pull-Down Bar/Prep Faucet. And get an eyeful of the unique countertop material: known as “tabby,” it’s a gorgeous mix of concrete, sand, and oyster shells.

Stylishly Clever Faucet
A similar faucet style from the sleek Delta Trinsic® Pro collection was used for the main sink, along with a matching soap dispenser. Both the faucet and dispenser feature Delta Touch2O® Technology, which allows you to turn on the water or dispense soap with just a tap, making cleanup both stylish and convenient.

Custom Hardware
The dark bronze hardware used throughout the kitchen was custom-made and upholstered in a forest green leather—combined with the understated gray cabinets, they create a “woodsy chic” look that gives the room a warm and natural ambience.

Masculine and Feminine Touches
Here’s a smart trick: to balance the masculine-feeling color and texture scheme, Brian chose round, curvy pieces for the breakfast nook. “They have a feminine shape to them and that was on purpose,” he says. “There are touches of femininity throughout the main living area to keep it all in check.” The sea grass finish is a lightweight but earthy material that pairs nicely with the hardware, backsplash, and countertops.

Wow-Worthy Bathroom
The trend of mixing and matching continues in the bathrooms of HGTV Dream Home 2017, where Brian selected a different metallic finish for each to ensure variety. For the fun and functional pool lounge bathroom, Brian chose hardware from Delta Faucet in warm Champagne Bronze™ that plays well against the cool blue tones of the wallpaper. “It fits the playful updated traditional look of a lot of houses here in the South,” he says.

Flooring Worth Adoring
The wood-look porcelain tile flooring is both rustic-feeling and sleek all at once. Because this bathroom serves the pool area, Brian chose the flooring specifically for its ease of cleaning.

Smart Showerhead
The Delta Cassidy™ Shower Head in Champagne Bronze™ features the H2Okinetic® wave pattern, which sculpts water into larger droplets for a spa-like shower experience. The finish is designed to resist abrasions better than brass would, which is a smart choice for a high-traffic bathroom.

Tile Style
Brian added graphic impact with a basket-weave tile pattern in the shower in gray, white, and black. “It sets off all the touches of champagne bronze in this room,” he says.

Aqua and White, Just Right
For the terrace bathroom just off the home gym, Brian simplified his palette even further, going with smooth polished nickel fixtures, including the Cassidy™ In2ition Two-in-One Showerhead to complement bright aqua walls, elegant subway tile, and rustic-look floors. “The aqua is one of the colors used to accent the terrace-level bedroom, and so I brought that in here,” he says. “This room is very simple—it’s feminine and playful.”
