Relax Outdoors

The covered lanai off the great room provides the perfect place to entertain and relax outdoors. With an adjacent gourmet grill station, dining space and pool and lounge area, this backyard paradise allows guests to relax in style.

Evening Entertaining

On a warm evening, guests can move from the covered lanai to the open lounge area around the pool to enjoy another beautiful Florida sunset.

Dining With a View

Two round four-seat dining tables are a flexible solution for larger gatherings or a more intimate outdoor dinner. From either table, diners can enjoy an unobstructed view of the pool and the river out back.

Handy Bar Cart

A bar cart holds a variety of entertaining essentials. When needed, the bar cart can be easily moved and used as an extension of the sideboard.

Keeping Cool

The lanai's modern ceiling fan made of stainless steel above the dining area keeps diners cool as they enjoy their meal.

Smart Illumination

Recessed lights in the ceiling of the lanai provide illumination for evening meals or a drink outside after dinner.

Gourmet Grill

A sleek gourmet grill encased in manufactured stone sits center stage in the home's outdoor kitchen area next to the lanai. "It's great because it's right off where all the people are seating, so people can speak to whoever is cooking," says interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn.

Stay Cool

A refrigerator integrated next to the gourmet grill keeps beverages and fruit cold, and eliminates repeated trips back inside the home for supplies when guests are over.

User-Friendly Grill Station

The gourmet grill station includes plenty of counter space, which allows the cook to prepare a variety of dishes with ease.

Durable Furniture

The dining tables and chairs are made of a durable woven resin that looks like wicker. This makes the furniture a great choice for the covered but open lanai.

Stylish Pavers

The entire lanai is covered in Mediterranean-style pavers with a pinkish-grey tone that compliments the colors of the home and surrounding area.

Smart Storage Space

A collection of colorful indoor/outdoor pillows in different patterns sit lined up under the sideboard, ready for use in the lanai or adjacent pool lounge area.

Lanai Layout

With the grill area right next to the lanai, the cook never feels disconnected or isolated from guests.

Outside Entertaining

Simple white dishes, distinctive flatware and a touch of nature are a few of the components for entertaining on the relaxed lanai.

Cool Drink

A glass of water or lemonade is the perfect solution for a warm afternoon or evening on the lanai.

Outdoor Buffet

The sideboard allows the host to set up a user-friendly buffet right on the lanai, so guests can serve themselves and enjoy a relaxed dinner outdoors.

Have a Seat

The lanai's two round tables with four chairs each encourage conversation, and allow guests to linger and enjoy the beautiful water views of the pool and river.

Updated Pool

An existing integrated spa that looked dated was eliminated from the pool off the lanai, to allow more space for the walkway.

Relaxed Coastal Living

When all the back French doors of the home are all opened up to the lanai, the beauty of indoor/outdoor Florida living can be fully enjoyed.

Special Addition

A large architectural doghouse that mimics the look, feel and color palette of the house off the pool area adjacent to the lanai is one of the special features that gives this relaxed, comfortable and elegant home personality.
