Spacious and luxurious, this gorgeous bathroom is a peaceful escape reserved for the masters of the house. Stunning tile work, soft fabrics and a calming color palette blend to form a decadent space designed for relaxation.

Sumptuous Soaking Tub

The window behind the tub features remote-controlled blinds, and the lovely blue curtains match the curtains in the master bedroom. “It is a very luxurious, spa-like experience in the bathroom,” says the home’s interior designer Linda Woodrum. “And we have beautiful drapery, so it is a very elegant and very tailored room.”

Marble Flooring

A free-standing tub sits on eye-catching mosaic Carrera marble flooring, which adds a soft but glamorous touch to the tasteful space.

Artistic Reflection

To reflect light and add depth to the room, a trio of mirrors descends from the ceiling to the towel rod. Crisp, white towels give the space a hotel-inspired look.

Five-Star Style

It’s the little details that give this space the luxurious touch Linda was hoping for. “Trying to create the sense of a five-star hotel is very important,” she says. “I think that’s the experience you have when you walk into the space.”

A plush tufted ottoman holds romantic accessories and adds a feminine touch to this incredible master bathroom.

Bright, White Shower

The sleek glass shower is completely lined in white subway tile and features a convenient seat, recessed lighting and both a wall-mounted and overhead showerhead.

Private Master Suite

An easy transition from master bathroom to private master patio gives the space an essence of elegance and exclusivity. “It is more than just a home,” explains Linda. “It is this wonderful special experience that we all would like to have in our own homes.”

Stylish Lighting

Four mercury glass pendants hang above the spacious double vanity. “I think it’s a really fun, elegant look,” says Linda. “It’s tailored and not too girly for a man, and it has a nice elegant feel in a restrained way. We’re trying to make everybody comfortable in this bathroom.”

Classy Coastal Decor

Sophisticated decor with a subtle coastal flair is just the right touch in this charming master bathroom located in Martha’s Vineyard.

Connected by Color

To visually connect the master suite, each room plays off of the colors and fabrics of the last space. “The bathroom ceiling and the hall and the master bathroom are the same color, and we used the same sisal in the bathroom as the rug in the hallway,” says Linda. “There’s really a connection of feel and color palette. It’s very serene and peaceful, so you have the same experience in all rooms in this part of the house.”

Private Stall

A stalled water closet separates the toilet from the rest of the master bathroom. The state-of-the-art toilet features a touch-free flush and built-in sensors for alerting the homeowner of tank leaks, a feature that is designed to save both water and money.

Abstract Art

Abstract art plays with the blue and white used throughout the entire suite and offers an interesting focal point on the master bathroom wall.

Textured Walls

White beadboard walls give the entire bathroom a charming cottage feel by adding subtle texture in a bright hue.
