HGTV Dream Home 2015 is a breathtaking home in Martha’s Vineyard with charming architectural details and a classic Cape Cod look. “You pull up and think, ‘Oh my gosh. This is the best house ever,’” says the home’s interior designer Linda Woodrum. “That’s how I feel, and I would like to win this house!”

Pea-Gravel Driveway

The designers were very careful to pay close attention to Cape Cod style and details when choosing every aspect of HGTV Dream Home 2015’s front yard. Rather than a paved driveway, a traditional pea-gravel drive adds to the home’s New England style.

Cape Cod Meets Cottage

“Our house is this beautiful, charming extended cottage,” says Linda. “But if you look at it, the center box is the traditional Cape Cod style.”

Family Fun

Perfect for a family with an active lifestyle, this Martha’s Vineyard home is surrounded by breathtaking views and beaches for walking, biking and exploring.

Rainy Day Protection

The front entrance features a covered portico with two classic columns. “Because of New England weather, you don’t want to be standing out at your front door as the rain comes down,” says Linda.

Color-Coordinated Window Boxes

“Window boxes are very much a part of the Vineyard experience,” explains Linda. “(They) pertain to what is happening in each room. You look out, and they are color coordinated.”

Exterior Texture

Cedar shake shingle give the home a lovely textured look. “Those will all age naturally to a wonderful gray, weathered look,” explains Linda.
