Warm grays and browns give this guest bathroom a clean, relaxing vibe, while metallic fixtures and bright artwork connect it with the adjacent guest room.
While the guest room features a warm color palette and a dramatic four-poster bed, the guest bath is a more muted space designed for relaxation.
An acrylic and mixed media painting by Truckee, Calif. artist Carole Sesko was inspired by the vibrant fall foliage, and picks up on the orange-and-gray palette used in the guest room.
The traditionally-styled shower fixtures offer modern spa-quality features, including a swiveling rainwater showerhead.
The stainless steel-finished bath fixtures blend seamlessly with the soft gray-and-brown tile used in the shower enclosure.
A small window lets light into the room, while a natural-hued Roman shade stands at the ready should privacy be required.
A small toilet nook is tucked behind the door for maximum privacy and space-efficiency.
While wall-mounted sconces are more typically used alongside the bathroom mirrors, substituting silver mercury glass cloche pendants adds an unexpectedly glamorous touch. Silver accessories and an antiqued mirror add more sparkle.
"It's a nice, clean bathroom with simple lines; fighting the cliche of the brown, country mountain home," says interior designer Linda Woodrum.
The bathroom features two entrances — one from the guest bedroom and one from the hallway — to accommodate traffic from the nearby family room.
