The inspiration of house planner Jack Thomasson, the dorm bathroom accommodates large groups and boasts industrial-chic accents.
The 80-inch countertop, clad in tile to complement the dorm room wall color, is equipped with three ceramic vessel sinks and flanked by floor-to-ceiling shelving.
Plush, white towels and ski-inspired accessories add a playful touch in an otherwise simple and straightforward bathroom space.
Each station is equipped with glass and brushed stainless steel countertop accessories. Photography by carpenter David Brown, dressed in leather frames, lends a personal touch. "What a great area to start using your own photos – pumping it full of personal mementos," says interior designer Linda Woodrum.
An apothecary jar, drinking glass and soap pump in stainless steel lend industrial-chic styling to the space.
Retro photographer's pendants, complete with milk-glass diffusers, double as task lighting in the dorm bathroom.
Artwork is limited to Stowe Mountain Resort ski trail signs, purchased by house planner Jack Thomasson and posted on a bathroom stall.
Each approximately 3-by-3-foot shower stall features a pitched tile floor to prevent water leakage and a glass stall door, frosted on the outside.
A clamshell light illuminates each shower stall, outfitted with both a raincan showerhead and a hand shower.
A two-in-one showerhead and hand shower creates a luxurious bathtime experience.
Individual bathroom stalls, custom-fabricated for HGTV Dream Home 2011, incorporate yellow birch plywood and stainless steel. Plywood is treated with a clear latex finish.
