HGTV Dream Home 2015

Your first experience when walking into HGTV Dream Home 2015, the charming kitchen is the ideal space for meal prep, entertaining and even dining. “This whole room is so beautiful in the detailing and the trim,” explains the home’s interior designer Linda Woodrum. “And I think that’s really important to notice.”

A center island not only adds storage and provides more counter space for meal prep, it’s also the perfect spot for doing homework, enjoying breakfast or keeping the cook company before dinner.

HGTV Dream Home 2014

Brilliant fall foliage inspired the bright yellow hue of the leather upholstery that covers a series of bar stools in the open concept kitchen of the 2014 HGTV Dream Home. They cozy up to a granite waterfall island that's nearly 16 feet long.

This contemporary kitchen at HGTV Dream Home 2014 features a warm neutral color palette with a reclaimed wood tile backsplash, stainless steel appliances and sleek black shaker-style cabinetry. Open stainless steel shelving displays glassware and serving pieces, and a mix of textures, from glass to steel to wood, lend visual interest.

Who wouldn't like to wake up to a deluxe coffee machine? This one is built into the kitchen wall in the HGTV Dream Home 2014.

HGTV Dream Home 2013

This sleek kitchen's Zen hue was inspired by the home's marsh views. Soft gray paneled doors are made modern with stainless steel pulls, while stark, modern lines define the kitchen island and built-in refrigerator storage. The mix of cabinetry styles gives the room a custom look.

This sleek green kitchen features taupe cabinets, glossy quartz counters and opaque glass panels as a backsplash.

HGTV Dream Home 2012

This modern white kitchen features a pop of blue color in its tiled backsplash areas behind its two countertop spaces. Stainless steel appliances and a muted gray kitchen island add a sleek look to the space, while blue and white floral chairs in the nearby dining area give the room a touch of flair.

Combination drawers, incorporated in the island front, keep prepared food items close at hand.

HGTV Dream Home 2011

Birch bark, a recurring HGTV Dream Home 2011 design motif, finds expression in the dramatic and sleek kitchen, interior designer Linda Woodrum's favorite room. "I love the way the birch bark is just this pop of white in the woods," says Linda. "I think it's an amazing gift." The tree’s texture and color are masterfully translated as gray cabinetry and stainless-steel appliances, white countertops and marble tile, black leather barstools and gray tones of the tile grout. "All of those colors are about birch bark," she adds.

The Sub-Zero undercounter wine storage cabinet offers two separate storage zones and holds up to 46 bottles of wine.

The kitchen's entertainment center, concealed behind Wellborn Media Life cabinetry, includes a 26-inch LCD TV with keyboard and Bose sound system.

HGTV Dream Home 2010

A 16-foot-high wall of glass tile inlaid in recycled aluminum makes a dramatic statement in the gourmet kitchen of HGTV Dream Home 2010, while the 11-foot-long island in a dark maple finish completes the space.

Cooking for large gatherings is accommodated with both induction and gas cooktops and a 2-gallon-capacity steamer, which features a temperature range of 140 degrees F to boil and includes one solid and one perforated stackable insert pan.

Sleek modern cabinetry in a rich cherry finish conceals appliances, including dual refrigerator/freezers designed to be built in flush with the cabinetry.

HGTV Dream Home 2009

The gourmet kitchen in HGTV Dream Home 2009 was designed with the busy host in mind. Twin refrigerators, wine cabinets, dishwashers and islands make entertaining a crowd effortless in this traditional-meets-modern cooking space.

The gourmet space’s clean and modern feel comes courtesy of gray Silestone countertops and backsplash which blend seamlessly into the dovetail gray walls.

The busy host will appreciate the Wolf microwave, nested between the two Sub-Zero wine storage units and stacked above a handy Wolf warming drawer, which keeps dishes delicious when guests run late.

HGTV Dream Home 2008

For the kitchen, interior designer Linda Woodrum created a sleek modern space accented with rustic art. It's a well-defined space, yet very open to the living and dining areas of the second-floor great room. A U-shaped, sand-colored countertop runs from the pantry door along the back wall, then turns below three square windows and back to form a peninsula dividing the kitchen from the dining area.

Task lighting is integral to preparing food as demonstrated by the well-lit, long counter in this traditional kitchen. Glass cabinets provide visual dish storage against the full, glass tile accent wall.

HGTV Dream Home 2007

Dream Home interior designer Linda Woodrum paired bold blue with dark wood finishes in the HGTV Dream Home 2007 gourmet kitchen.

The spacious Sub-Zero refrigerator features custom panels so it blends beautifully with the cabinetry.

HGTV Dream Home 2006

The HGTV Dream Home 2006 kitchen ushers you in with the warm, welcoming notes of fall, a reflection of the seasonal theme that flows throughout the house. Deep grays, rich brown woods and accents of golden yellow work together to create a room that's comfortable and welcoming, yet functional.

Four cozy armchairs in the eat-in seating area break with tradition. "I wasn't worried about having fabric in here because so many fabrics today are treated and easy to clean," says interior designer Linda Woodrum.

HGTV Dream Home 2005

Open to the great room, the bucolic kitchen is defined by not only the creamy limestone and shiny stainless steel appliances, but by designer Linda Woodrum's choices as well. "Because of the rusticness of that stone, it seemed like it would be fun to have cabinets that are open — very simple and plain, and it's a very highly-functional kitchen," she says.

There is two of everything — dishwashers, refrigerators (one large refrigerator and one large freezer) and sinks, along with a professional gas range surrounded by dramatic Texas limestone.

HGTV Dream Home 2004

The delicate balance of old and new, as well as connecting the great room and dining room, make the kitchen a vibrant social destination for family and guests alike.
