Founders of MegMade, Meg Piercy and her husband, Joe, love to show homeowners that renovations are possible without completely breaking the bank. And that's just what they do in their new series, Renovation Goldmine. The duo repurposes old furniture and other pieces sitting dormant in their clients' homes and use the money saved to give families the homes they've always imagined.

Before their show premieres on Saturday, April 30th at 8/7c, let's get to know this dynamic couple a little better.

They Met on a Blind Date

And they were engaged just six weeks later! "I knew I was going to marry this guy the second I met him," Meg says. Since then, they've built their business and grown their family — with three adorable boys.

They Always Look for the Gold

One of the couple's favorite sayings is, "Find the gold," and that's how they came up with the name for their new series. Their goal is to find treasure in everything they do, through people, places and things. They've built their business by finding the gold in the old, the vintage, the outdated and bringing it back to life.

A Changing Table Started Their Journey

When their first child was born, money was tight. They discovered a vintage dresser in an alley and transformed it into a changing table. Soon, they were painting furniture in their basement and selling it on Craiglist, which then blossomed into a storefront in Chicago. Now, they paint antique pieces, as well as customize other furniture and home decor.

You Can Shop Their Store

In addition to their store in Chicago and interior design services, they also have a selection of their wares online. From MegMade furniture paint and painting supplies to sophisticated accessories and painted furniture, you can bring home a little MegMade style to your own home.
