Seven talented topiary artists immediately begin to demonstrate their skills by carving a work of art out of a yew tree. Then it's off to the main challenge where they create fantastic carousel horses, and the first artist is clipped from the competition.
In their first team challenge, the topiary artists pair up to create beautifully designed living rooms with functional furniture out of grass and plants. The teams must combine their individual visions as they race to make furniture worthy of HGTV.
The artists create huge topiary statues worthy of standing at the entrance to an exhibit at a natural history museum. Competitors have ten hours to complete eye-popping dinosaurs, mammoths and more, taking advantage of all the materials in the nursery.
Using an assigned color, the artists show off their abilities to create playful characters as they design a topiary display for a mini-golf course. Not only should their creations be visually exciting, they must be engineered to be working obstacles.
