Battle on the Beach: The Bedrooms Challenge

Challenge Day. The contestants gather on the beach to receive instructions for this phase of the competition — the bedrooms challenge. Each team, with guidance from their respective mentors, will design and transform a main bedroom suite as well as a guest bedroom.

Serving as judges in the Battle on the Beach competition are two of HGTV top renovation pros, Mina Starsiak-Hawk of HGTV's Good Bones and Mike Holmes of the HGTV series Holmes on Homes and DIY's Holmes Makes It Right.

The Bedrooms Challenge: Team Taniya

A Winning Design. Kerry and David's design, with its palette of blue, terra cotta and natural wood tones, was deemed the winner in the guest-bedroom competition.

A Winning Design. The main bedroom designed by Ty Pennington and his team of Shonnie and Josh Thomas took the prize in the main-bedroom competition. With its creative use of textiles, neutral tones, upcycled materials and natural driftwood, it's a markedly distinctive and inviting space.
