Careful construction and design provides top-of-the-line sound reduction qualities, insulating this backyard studio office from outside noises. The space is integrated into the overall home, but anyone inside it can maintain a high level of concentration.

Much of this petite home office, designed by Sett Studio, is made from their signature material called Monotread. Sustainably created out of unutilized wood chips from mills, Monotread is used for the built-in desk, the flooring and the ceiling. Check out the fun ground level window, ideal for providing light as well as privacy.

Despite taking up less than 80 square feet, this efficiently designed backyard office space contains a full desk, table, three chairs and a wall-mounted monitor.

A small deck on this backyard studio office adds usable square footage to the space. The bench was placed to act as both a rail along the back edge and comfortable outdoor seating.

A combination of materials was used to finish out this modular studio: Acid-hued metal tiles complement the darkened wood grain. The deck's wood is reused in the soffit to create a cohesive aesthetic.

Mixed materials create high contrast and visual interest.

The exterior of this studio was finished using metal tiles. An acid wash gave them a blue hue for a compelling ombre effect.
