Kari founded KWI – Kari Whitman Interiors – in 1994 as a full-service firm specializing in high-end residential interior design. Kari’s expertise also extends into commercial interior design, and projects range from condominiums to estate homes, boutique hotels to large-scale residential developments.

An Allied Member of the prestigious American Society for Interior Design (ASID), Kari has showcased prominent, high-end interior design projects throughout California, New York, Aspen, Miami, and Dallas. Kari also holds the accolade of having been selected as the interior designer for Park La Brea, a large development in the historic Miracle Mile district in Los Angeles.

A native of Colorado, Kari is the founder of Ace of Hearts, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from high-kill shelters and placing them in loving homes. Her work in this area has also led to innovative design for homeowners with pets.
