Gin Braverman

Gin Braverman began her professional career in New York City, designing sets for film production and taking classes in fashion, graphic design and photography at FIT and ICP. Her passion for travel took her to Taipei where she further honed her interior design skills during her time at the international Taiwanese design firm,MLD.

After her return to the US she spent a few years of intensive hands-on work learning specialized finishes and antique restoration in the workshop at Houston’s Installations Antiques, after which she accepted a position in New York as a lead designer for HGTV’s first full-home remodel show, “Home Rules.” The fast-paced, intensive experience of designing at great speed on a tight schedule only furthered her ambition to start her own design firm and she returned to Houston and founded gindesigns. The firm’s success was rapid and gindesigns has recently expanded to gindesignsgroup, absorbing the talents of designers from Venezuela, Spain, Brasil, Germany (and of course Houston) and partnering with long-term collaborator and award-winning graphic designer, Evan O’Neil to found an in-house hospitality concepts division. The firm has been contracted to design for a range of clients and properties including restaurants, pubs, wine bars, multifamily dwellings and has a boutique hotel in the works. gindesignsgroup’s work is now seen in many cities including New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, New Orleans and New Canaan.
