Spectacular Showhouse

The annual Atlanta Symphony Associates 2015 Decorators' Showhouse and Gardens raises funds for the Atlanta Symphony and features big name designers creating both indoor and outdoor spaces like HGTV's Vern Yip and Chip Wade.

Outdoor Living Maestro

HGTV's Chip Wade designed several outdoor spaces at the 2015 Atlanta Symphony Showhouse and Gardens. "With architecture like this—very stately—I always tend to go more of the comfortable route," says Wade of his designs.

Black and White Chic

HGTV's Chip Wade designed this front loggia at the Symphony Showhouse using dramatic planters and furniture from Frontgate. When designing an outdoor space, Wade asks himself "is this place compelling? Does it make you want to walk down there and be in it?"

Graphic Planters

Stunning Frontgate planters are planted up with banana, rosemary and striking color combinations of deep plum and chartreuse.

Outdoor Drama

Chip Wade created wonderfully elegant outdoor spaces to match the grand Atlanta estate that played host to 2015's Atlanta Symphony Associates Showhouse and Gardens.

Ornate Lanterns

These beautifully detailed lanterns from Frontgate are a great way to illuminate paths and wonderful accents to this lovely container design.

Bring the Indoors Outside

A master of outdoor design, HGTV's Chip Wade created this chic living room vignette on a side patio at the Symphony Showhouse. Wade used a "super fresh" palette of blue and orange. Wade likes to feature artwork in his outdoor spaces and had this piece created using house paint to help with its outdoor staying power. Wade used rigid metal posts with garden topiaries affixed to create an arresting sculptural element overhead.

Pachyderm Punch

Chip Wade brings some wit and visual interest to this outdoor space with the addition of a ceramic elephant for a touch of fun. "The main design aesthetic is bringing in an assortment of accessories I like," says Wade.

Pump It Up

A forgotten nook of the garden becomes a focal point with the addition of this sumptuous Frontgate lounge in an outdoor design from Chip Wade. "When you're doing a seating vignette, it's easy to overdo," says Wade, who allowed some simple lanterns, pillows and the spectacular greenery outside the home to complete this restful space. He called the silver planter with its "high luster," a bit "unorthodox," but a distinctive accent that really defines the attitude of this space.

Pool Side

Atlanta garden designer Ed Castro Landscape created the container gardens and beds surrounding this elegant pool.

Al Fresco Dining

Outdoor dining and parties become elevated with paired tables and chairs that work wonderfully with this home's formal style.

Color Contrast

These black and white planters pair beautifully with a variety of plant textures and colors.

Topiaries Are Tops

We love the contrast of this black and white container with a playful topiary form in a look that marries high-style and wit.

Green Goodness

An array of greens from chartreuse to the variegated pyramidal American boxwood bring interest to this raised bed poolside. Daylily, pink vinca, white bacopa and Joseph's Coat round out this stunning raised bed.

Paradise Found

"In all of our gardens, everything we do is about inviting people to the space," says landscape designer Ed Castro who placed this outdoor living vignette from Frontgate featuring the Eden coffee table at the opposite end of the pool to lure visitors into the space.

Old Hollywood

A black and white color scheme gives this poolscape an old Hollywood feel that Ed Castro Landscape complemented in plant shades favoring purple and chartreuse.

Layers of Interest

The eye is drawn to the various layered elements in this garden bed and a striking espaliered loropetalum designed by Ed Castro Landscape.
