The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World are considered to be the most impressive manmade structures from the Classical era. Of these wonders, only the Great Pyramids of Giza are still in existence. The sites of other wonders, such as the Temple of Artemis and Mausoleum at Halicarnassus can be visited today, though the locations of other ancient wonders are unknown.

New Seven Wonders of the World

More than 100 million people voted to choose the New Seven Wonders of the World. One chosen location was Chichen Itza, the ancient Mayan city located in modern-day Mexico seen here. Other sites include the Great Wall of China, the Colosseum in Rome, Machu Picchu in Peru, the Taj Mahal in India and the Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil.
