Set the Scene
Symbolizing warmth, joy and love, red is a classic Christmas color. Paired with glints of gold and fresh greenery and berries, it's the perfect palette for a seasonal table setting.
Twice as Nice
Layering textures and patterns will make your tablescape look and feel more luxe. Don’t be afraid to double up on napkins at place settings. It fills up empty spaces and keeps guests extra tidy. (Plus, brunch can be messy with all its flaky pastries!)
Put a Ring On It
For a colorful touch at each place setting, napkin rings can be fashioned from fresh cranberries. Using a large needle, carefully pierce the berries, and string a 9-inch length of berries onto florist’s wire, leaving a couple of inches of wire free on each end. Wind the ends together, forming a ring. Then add a sprig of greenery between the two remaining ends of the wire, and wind them together again to secure it. Turn the ends of the wire under the loops to hide any sharp points.
Sweet Place Card Holders
This mini candy cane easel is perfect for place cards, and, bonus: guests can take them home as an edible favor. To make them: Leave the cellophane wrappers on three candy canes, hold them upside down, and position the cane ends into a tripod shape that will sit level on the table. Secure with a few dots of hot glue; finish with a festive red ribbon bow, and place one next to each place setting.
Go Green
A single garland of preserved boxwood studded with pine sprigs creates a casual, low arrangement when placed down the length of your table. Scatter a few loose red ornaments around it to add to the classic Christmas color combination.
Natural Wonder
To craft a beautiful, inexpensive centerpiece to brighten up any holiday get-together, use fresh pine cuttings to decorate dollar store candle holders or hurricanes. To create them, clip sprigs of natural pine greenery to a length not taller than a glass vase of your choice. Attach greenery around the outside of the container with hot glue, being sure to tack down the edges of long pieces so the greenery lies flat against the glass. Add a final flourish or colorful ribbon, then add a pillar or taper candle to the center of the vase, securing its base with hot glue, if necessary.
On a Roll

Get Glowing
Easy decor can be created by grouping items together to create festive tabletop vignettes. For this one, we placed a small preserved boxwood wreath on a bread plate, positioned a votive candle in the center of the wreath, then sprinkled fresh cranberries around for color.
Pull Up a Chair
Make your Christmas brunch table even more special by tying a mini wreath to the back of each chair with ribbon. Use preserved boxwood wreaths with red-and-white striped grosgrain ribbon for a preppy-inspired, less formal alternative to the classic pine and velvet ribbon combination.
