Add olive oil to the flatbread using a basting brush.
Sprinkle Sea Salt
Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt to the top of the flatbread.
Cover With Crumbles
Lightly cover the sea salt and olive oil with blue cheese crumbles, creating a layer approximately two crumbles thick.
Add Figs + Bake
Use a knife to slice figs into 1/8-inch thick slices, then place the figs on top of the blue cheese crumbles. Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees F until cheese is melted or flatbread is crisp around the edges. Remove from the oven and drizzle with honey.
Two More Toppings to Try
Blue cheese is certainly an acquired taste that not all your guests may love. Try these toppings to please all palates. Offer a pizza-style crowd-pleaser of mini pepperoni, fresh mozzarella balls, black olives and marinara sauce (left). Use up fresh produce with this flatbread that calls for ricotta, basil and butternut squash (middle). For even more fun, allow guests to create their own flatbreads by offering a variety of toppings at their disposal.
