As the first view upon entering the home, the designers wanted this bright white kitchen to make an excellent first impression — to be quietly beautiful and not too assertive — and they succeeded. White Shaker-style cabinets and stainless appliances pair with a pale-wood island and white countertops. White pendant lights with black hardware and white stools with black cushions give dimension to the room, and the elimination of upper cabinetry further contributes to the openness of the space.
