This home was originally built in the 1800s, but recent renovations tripled its size so it now encompasses 14,000 square feet. Designers' main challenge and goal was to seamlessly marry the historic architecture with the new elements.

The handsome entry features a classical portico topped by a deck. The windows around the front door are leaded glass.

Leaded glass sliding doors off the foyer open up to reveal a cheerful sunroom. The black-and-white checkered floors continue into the room for stylistic continuity.

The foyer pairs the checkered floor's bold black and white with delicate chinoiserie wallpaper.
