Welcome Inside

The walls of the entry were painted a crisp white that keeps things light and bright, in this welcoming space, which sets the scene for this picturesque coastal home. The well-designed entry also provides a preview of the spectacular views ahead.

Easy-Access Storage

An attractive, easy-access storage area beside the front door includes an oversized double dresser, two chairs for seating, and a scenic painting from a local artist that picks up some of the coastal colors used in this home.

Hide the Clutter

Having storage by the front door helps keep the entry attractive and clean. “We have a large oversized dresser that’s used to house all the things you need that you don’t want people to see when you come in and out of the house,” says designer Brian Patrick Flynn.

Local Beauty

A local artist created his own interpretation of the property’s marsh in a beautiful painting that hangs above the entry’s oversized double dresser.

Casually Chic Dresser

The weathered wood dresser has brushed nickel teardrop pulls and accenting knobs that give this piece of furniture a hand-crafted look.

Coastal Candles

The top of the dresser includes three clear glass cylinders in different sizes with blue hand-crafted round scented pillar candles set in sand, that help reinforce the coastal feel of this spectacular property.

Stylish Stools

Two counter stools with wood legs and a coastal blue and white striped fabric for the padded seats provide easy seating in the entry.

Connected Spaces

This door just off the entry and oversized dresser leads to the vestibule of the spacious master suite, designed as a private retreat away from the main living spaces of the home.

Enjoy the View

This view from the open front door shows expansive great room and stunning views of the back of the property that can be enjoyed from inside the home.

Standout Piece

Looking toward the front door the entry highlights a vintage canoe in a bold shade of bright green with an aqua interior that hangs above. “It really stands out against the white walls and pulls together all the colors from the gallery wall that leads you up to the second floor in the stairwell,” says designer Brian Patrick Flynn.

Stylish Stairwell

A blue and white ceramic umbrella stand in the entry with a classic design and vintage flair offers an easy way to keep umbrellas handy next to the stairwell. The wood tones of the stair treads to the upper level of the home add warmth to the entry area.

Lovely Light

At the very top of the entry sits this 15-light wagon wheel chandelier with a simple open hoop design. This eye-catching light fixture casts a lovely glow over the entire entry area.

Curated Look

The stairwell includes a huge collection of art, from photography and graphic art to paintings and found objects like a round nautical mirror, for a curated look that adds personality and color to the space.

Great Flow

A hallway off the stairwell leads to the powder room, kitchen, walk-in pantry, laundry room and mudroom, that make up the hard-working spaces in the home.

Marvelous Mirrors

Three round oyster shell accent mirrors decorate the entry wall, with a coastal feel that works with the other nautical details used for this custom home.

Play on Color

This look at the hallway off the entry into the powder room shows the bright shade of coral used for this easy-access space, a color also featured in the master bathroom.

Beautifully Designed Toilet

The elongated classic design white toilet in the powder room features a slow close seat that helps prevent slamming. A curated selection of art with black frames decorate the wall above the toilet.

Unique Look

The modern matte white with taupe vanity includes slate vertical graining on the cabinet and drawers that make this key feature of the powder room look beautiful and unique. Curated art on each wall flanking the vanity adds personality to the space.

Sleek Sink Area

The vanity’s white undermount bathroom sink includes a single handle bathroom faucet in a chrome finish with a channel spout that creates a harmonious waterfall.

Floating Mirror

A contemporary floating accent mirror sits below the powder room’s vanity light in a brushed nickel finish, that illuminates the space in a stylish way.

Welcoming Foyer

The expansive nature of the light and bright entry creates a dramatic introduction to the home when visitors step inside this gorgeous coastal residence. “When you walk up to the front door and enter, you look straight into the great room, backyard and marsh,” says build manager Scott Branscom. “It’s big and open, and very welcoming.”
