Cowie's contemporary kitchen blends in seamlessly with the rest of his loft. But if he wants to separate the kitchen from the rest of the apartment, he can do it with the floor-to-ceiling frosted, sliding glass doors. For a modern look, he used a base palette of gray throughout the loft. Using a few shades of gray allows him to change the accent color at a moment's notice without having to totally redecorate.
