Materials Needed:
- oversized chipboard letter
- hot glue gun
- hot glue sticks
- reindeer moss
- ribbon
- scissors
- artificial sprig with buds
Glue Moss to Letter
Preheat hot glue gun. Once hot, apply glue to chipboard letter in small sections (Image 1). Immediately press moss into hot glue and hold in place until glue cools (Image 2). Repeat until the entire surface of letter is covered, including sides (Image 3). Tip: Don't insert moss inside holes for letters like "A" or "R."
Attach Ribbon
Cut ribbon approximately eight inches long (Image 1). Apply hot glue to letter's back, pressing ribbon into glue until dry (Image 2). Loop ribbon and glue down the other end (Image 3). Tip: For letters that are wide at the top, cut a longer ribbon and glue the ribbon ends to the top corners of the letter.
Embellish Letter
Cut individual buds off an artificial sprig using scissors (Image 1). Apply hot glue to the bottom of the bud and press into moss (Image 2). Arrange blossoms individually or cluster them in groups of three for a more natural look (Image 3). Display the completed moss monogram by hanging it on your front door in place of a traditional spring wreath or create multiple moss letters to spell out a favorite phrase.
