Materials Needed

  • metallic acrylic paint
  • craft knife
  • cutting mat
  • liquid dish soap

Make Scratch-Off Surface

Cut a square from the contact paper, and tape it to the cutting mat. Squirt a good amount of metallic paint on contact paper (Image 1). Add a small amount of liquid dish soap, about a 3:1 ratio (Image 2). Mix the two with a foam paintbrush, and spread evenly over the contact paper (Images 3 & 4). Let dry for 2 hours. Add another layer if it's too thin. Once dry, remove the contact paper from the cutting mat.

Create Template

Select the card you want from the PDF template, and print two copies. Take one card, and cut out the inner circles with a craft knife (Image 1). Tape contact paper back to cutting mat. Lay the cut-out card on top of the contact paper, and cut inside the circles (Image 2).

Assemble Card

Carefully peel away backing off the contact paper (Image 1). Place the scratch-off decals over the prizes on the second card (Image 2). Use a coin to scratch off the prizes (Image 3).
