Materials Needed:

  • basket
  • water-based latex paint
  • stir stick
  • foam paintbrush
  • painter's tape

Apply Painter's Tape

Determine your paint line or design. If you want to create a dip-dyed look, simply apply painter's tape to block off the bottom portion of the basket that you would like "dipped." If you want to create a fun design, start adding tape around the basket to create areas that will be painted.

Paint Basket

Stir paint thoroughly, dip paintbrush into paint and begin painting basket. Let dry.

Remove Tape

Once paint is dry, remove painter's tape to reveal nice, crisp paint lines. Touch up where necessary.
