This New Episode of 'Flip or Flop' Has Everything

From dinners left behind by previous owners to rare California downpours, the flip in this new episode of Flip or Flop is keeping Tarek and Christina on their toes.

It’s been a minute since we’ve caught up with the OG flipping duo Tarek and Christina. Now, a few much-anticipated new episodes are on the way! Here are a few things you’ll see in this week’s Flip or Flop, which chronicles the flip process of what might be the messiest, smelliest house T&C have encountered yet. (Don't be fooled by its relatively chill exterior demeanor.)

Leftovers

This isn’t Tarek and Christina’s first reno rodeo. Upon spotting a rogue recliner in front of the house, Christina is spot on with a prediction for what’s inside: a big ol’ mess.

The duo can barely make it to the end of the walk-through after spotting the likely cause of the house’s terrible stench: leftover turkey. Trust that its removal is in appropriate dramatic fashion.

Taylor + Braden Cameos!

The true creative forces of T&C Construction have been revealed. We predict a sibling spin-off in the not-too-distant future?

Christina recruits Taylor to help choose colors for the exterior of the house while Tarek is away, and her discerning eye and clear communication is quite impressive — though not too far off from Mom’s, of course.

Rain … in California?

Yeah, we don’t get it, either, Christina. Los Angeles averages about 35 rain days a year, and, of course, a few of them had to fall on a big reno day. To make matters worse, the downpour reveals some serious issues with the roof. Drip, drip, drip …

Gorgeous Tilework

Tarek and Christina don’t always agree on finishes for the kitchens and bathrooms — “Too expensive!” — but they’re perfectly in sync this time around. And it’s not hard to see why. The dimensional hexagon tiles caught Christina’s eye immediately and add tons of youthful, modern character to the kitchen’s backsplash.

Plenty of Pickles

No, not actual pickles — though it’s possible those were left behind somewhere in the trash heap that was the kitchen. It wouldn’t be an episode of Flip or Flop without some surprise cracks, paint mishaps and major structural issues, and this flip surely delivers. But don’t worry — the pickles pay off.
