Custom Vintage Mural
Custom paintings from artist Celery Jones are found throughout HGTV Dream Home 2018 including this painting of a trout fashioned to look like a vintage bait shop sign. Designer Brian Patrick Flynn chose artwork and commissioned original paintings throughout the home that reflect the individual beauty of the Pacific Northwest.
Artful Entry
Hanging art throughout the home gives each space a unique touchstone and specifically places the home in the Northwest. In the entry, hanging a photograph at an unexpectedly low height gives the space a playful feel.
Black and White Simplicity
Another Celery Jones original black and white abstract painting greets visitors as they enter the home. Placing a contemporary concrete planter below the artwork transforms the space into a mini contemporary art gallery.
Nautical Nook
This painting of a whale diving into the sea feels perfectly at home in this Gig Harbor home overlooking Puget Sound. Much of the art throughout HGTV Dream Home 2018 reflects the unique wildlife and landscapes of the Northwest.
Vintage Travel Charm
Art is the focal point of the master bedroom with a custom wall mural in the style of a 1940’s travel ad for Washington state. Artist Celery Jones painted this custom piece that gives the bedroom a quirky, vintage vibe.
Natural Gallery
A gallery wall of artwork from Wayfair flanks the stairway leading to the master bedroom. Choosing pieces that bring the beauty of nature indoors and hanging them in this classic style feels orderly and timeless.
Quirky Companion
Soft blue pastel walls provide a serene background for artwork including this playful painting of a bowtie wearing raccoon. Artwork doesn’t have to take itself too seriously and can add life and humor to every space.
Grand Garage Gallery
Even the garage becomes a gallery with the addition of artwork. In addition to art on the walls, the space boasts plenty of creative space for creating your own masterpiece.
Artful Grouping
Paintings like this one of Seattle’s Space Needle give the home a sense of place while grouping artwork together over a workspace can provide creative inspiration.
Creative Wildlife
Mixing mediums from photographs and watercolors to classic oil paintings add texture and interest to blank walls. Here, images of area wildlife and local landscapes brings the beauty and unique quality of the Pacific Northwest into this creative work space.
Aquatic Arts
Large mattes create a strong frame for a series of fish paintings in the garage. Gallery style hanging throughout the home turn even mundane spaces into warm, artistic spaces.
Monochromatic Mood
A modern black and white painting fits in beautifully next two black and white images of animals. Grouping artwork in similar tones creates a cohesive feeling.
Seattle Showstopper
To cover an irregular wall that juts out into the den artist Celery Jones crafted this minimalistic mural of Seattle’s Space Needle. Like much of the artwork chosen throughout the home, this mural feels site specific to the home and Pacific Northwest.
Serene Simplicity
A minimalistic landscape framed in gold adds a calm backdrop to this open area workspace.
Vibrant Variety
A gallery wall hanging of paintings, and natural artifacts surrounds the large screen television in the den. Mixing a variety of mediums and subject matter together in a similar tonal range feels cohesive and adds a finished feel to this relaxing space.
Millennial Marine Life
A sculptural whale above the bed in this soft toned bedroom brings an iconic part of the natural world into this restful space. On the adjacent wall, a bold, graphic painting of an octopus adds another coastal accent while starkly contrasting the soft millennial pink wall color.
