A New Look
Unlike a themed room, the terrace suite bedroom exemplifies a curated look. The contents look like they were collected by the homeowner over the years but tie together perfectly.
Bed Head
The soft white walls, ceiling and trim is the perfect back drop for the sea foam green, linen tufted headboard. Pops of bold color stand out in the classic flame stitch and ticking stripe pillows.
Open Air
Bathed in natural light, the room opens to view of the Indian River, dock and palm trees in the back of the house.
Step In
Inviting and interesting, the entry to the room beckons you to venture in to view a collection of possessions gathered by the homeowner over time.
Calming Effect
Tucked in to the corner of the room, a hammock chair spins around to allow a user to take in the views of the landscape. White furniture and accessories lend a calming effect to the space.
A Different Light
Instead of using table lamps at the bedside, a modern standing arc lamp casts ample light over the bed for reading at night.
Aged to Perfection
Oxidized pewter plates hung on the wall with picture hooks look like they've been passed down through the ages and act as art over the bed.
Rustic Touch
Robe hooks attached to the wall lend casual storage for hanging items not relegated to the closet. An antiqued chair give the vignette a charming touch.
Playful Edge
The scalloped edge on the mirror frame is playful and lively. Painted white, it is also calming and serene.
A Twisted Look
Taking a sea creature persona, the table lamp on the dresser reminds guests that they are near the water.
Framed View
Located in the back of the house, the terrace bedroom suite has French doors that open out on to a terrace. The blue-gray linen draperies frame the view of the yard and nearby river.
Wired Up
Wi-fi throughout the house allows for easy use for the latest in technology.
Pattern Play
When all else fails, you can’t go wrong with classic mattress ticking striped accessories. It pairs well with nearly any pattern including these flame stitch pillows on the bed.
Color Wise
The platform bed has a diamond tufted upholstered headboard rendered in a soft, muted sea-foam tone that’s more of a gray-green color.
Modern Meets Rustic
A framed feather art print sits over a rustic chair to the left of the bed. The modern arc light with it’s giant shade is all that’s needed to illuminate the bed at night.
Subtle Pattern
The subtle pattern of the gray-green area rug does not fight for attention in this room. Instead, it lay the ground work for the play on pattern and texture in the rest of the room.
Pretty as a Picture
On the right of the bed, a two drawer chest with a shelf is topped with framed feather art print. The surface hold books for reading and other essentials for guests.
Faded Look
Used throughout the house, the washed out, faded look of the wood flooring resembles driftwood found on the beaches of Florida.
Sound Advice
Wireless speakers allow music to flow throughout the house. The understated design means they work with any decorating scheme.
Storage Space
A pair of closets flanking the bathroom door affords ample space for storing clothes and accessories.
