Season 2, Episode 1
Revisiting Renovations in Arizona, L.A, and New York City
Ever wonder what happens after our house hunters choose their new homes? In this episode, we revisit some of our most memorable buyers to see the stories that unfolded after our cameras stopped rolling. First, we check in with a couple who bought a fixer in Scottsdale, Arizona a year ago. He promised to turn it into the home of her dreams, and nearly single-handedly, he did just that. Next, we revisit a pair of teachers in L.A.'s San Fernando Valley who wanted a ritzy Sherman Oaks address and got it by taking on a home that needed some work. They managed to create a Greek-inspired backyard oasis by tapping into an unexpected resource. Finally, we visit a woman who bought a 3-family home in New York City's Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood so she could lean on renters to help pay her mortgage. Updating the property was a family affair, but depending on her parents and brother to provide the labor led to some very dramatic moments she never anticipated.
