A part of the culture and history of Waco, Texas, for over 100 years, the Elite Cafe is especially appealing to Chip and Joanna Gaines, who love the challenge of reviving old properties. Chip has always dreamed of opening a restaurant, and after Jo walks the property that's for sale and hears his vision for a modern breakfast joint, she jumps on board and agrees to help make Chip's dream a reality. Opening a restaurant is a new challenge for Chip and Jo, and the to-do list of perfecting recipes, designing logos and much more is daunting. Chip and Jo overcome challenge after challenge, and after a year and half, they finally complete the remodel and reveal an extraordinary fixer upper unlike any other.
