When most people think of marble, white Carrara marble is what usually comes to mind. But designer Jennifer Duneier reminds us that there is actually a ton of variety when it comes to marble — including this chic, veined black marble. Much like granite, marble comes in many different colors and styles. So don’t feel limited to simply choosing white.

Marble also works great as an accent in a bathroom. In this example, designer Brian Patrick Flynn created a super-stylish space with a marble step leading up to the freestanding bathtub.

A beautiful marble tub like this one from designer Michael Habachy makes a stunning centerpiece for an elegant bathroom. Even if you simply have a tub/shower combo, you can use marble on the front of the tub surround to create a similar look.
