Here’s Your Very First ‘Property Brothers: Forever Home’ Walk-Through
With old-school moves and fancy new footwork, the Scott brothers are making magic on their new series.
Jonathan and Drew Scott have been around the block a few times: they’ve gone head to head (and shoulder to shoulder) in cities all over the U.S. and Canada to create cool, clever spaces for their clients.

True to form, their all-new series delivers the terrible jokes and gorgeous "afters" we’ve come to expect from the brothers -- but it’s also unexpectedly intimate.
Just what will all those lofty ideals look like? Take a spin around Property Brothers: Forever Home with us and find out.
There Will Be Dog Detectives
The bad news: This Las Vegas family had a big old hole in their kitchen wall, thanks to their three toothy canines. The good news: When Drew and Jonathan busted into the space behind that big old hole, they found a treasure trove of neglected space. Who says demo day assistants have to have opposable thumbs?
There Will Be Shade
Pots and pans that give your kitchen that authentic-cooking-space feel: Cool. Pots and pans that prevent you from keeping an eye on your kids: Not so cool.
There Will Be Creative Plumbing

Keep your eyes peeled for extra-functional Forever Home kitchens. Open-plan rooms and high-end finishes like the ones here are marvelous, but it’s the one-of-a-kind details that really take spaces across the finish line. On one early project, Drew notes that three plumbing lines could go the extra mile: "I know [our clients] want to have the kids happy [and] family and friends over," he says, "so I think what we have to do is make sure that this line is apple juice, this line is wine, and that one’s beer."(Water lines are so 2018.) "There’s definitely a lot of wine that comes from this region," Jonathan concurs, pointing at his brother’s face." "Whining, yeah."

Drew and Jonathan are committed to maximizing functionality for families without sinking money into quick-fix solutions -- so they spend quality time making creative upgrades like using joists to raise an awkward sunken living room instead of pouring concrete to raise the floor. It's all in the details, folks.
There Will Be Smart Fixes
Weird-looking, non-functional pillars, know that your time on this earth is limited.
There Will Be "Here’s the Church and Here’s the Steeple…"
Why mock up a new floor plan with animated graphics when you can mime it with your twin brother? Traditional architects, please try harder.

Drew just completed construction on his own forever home with his wife, Linda. Jonathan, in turn, remains fully committed to designs (like secret, Harry-Potter-worthy kid spaces) that honor the tiny Scott brother he once was. We’re here for all of it.
Tune in to HGTV for the series premiere of Property Brothers: Forever Home on Wednesday, May 29, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
