Wood and Metal Blend to Create Seamless Industrial Design

In this kitchen, designers from America's Most Desperate Kitchens created an elegant, industrial space for these homeowners. The neutral color of the cabinets and countertops are offset by the blue backsplash that makes the space pop, while metal and wood blend together to create a seamless, industrial design.

Industrial, Loft-Inspired Kitchen with Breakfast Bar and Farmhouse Sink

Featured on America's Most Desperate Kitchens, this space has been transformed from a tiny, dysfunctional space into an open, stylish one. Outfitted with deep blue cabinets, an apron front sink, cantilevered shelving and stainless steel appliances, this space is stylish, modern and functional.

Expansive Butcher-Block Countertops in Transitional Kitchen

The kitchen island with its distressed and stained mahogany butcher-block provides a spacious prep area for the avid baking enthusiast and serves double duty for serving and entertaining. The backsplash beneath the upper cabinets is oversized subway tile in white, with white grout.

Vintage Inspired Refrigerator and Tile Give Kitchen an Authentic Look

To create the perfect vintage, farmhouse look, designers at America's Most Desperate Kitchens added a new, pastel green Smeg refrigerator. Despite its retro design, it has all the modern gadgets of a stainless steel fridge in a cute, kitschy package. To complete the design, custom large pattern tile flooring and an exposed beam gives the space an authentic farmhouse feel.

Transitional Eat-In Kitchen With Stylish Breakfast Nook

This light and bright kitchen remodel includes a pairing of oak and painted blue cabinets with a white subway tile backsplash and wide plank hardwood floors. A cozy breakfast nook includes a reclaimed wood table, bench and stool seats, and a geometric metal chandelier. Recessed lighting illuminates the space.

Neutral Color Palette in French Country Kitchen

The elegant look in this space is created by the neutral color palette, gray subway tile with crackle finish and gray granite countertops with lots of veining. All of the appliances in the space except the new, stainless steel range were covered in paneling to create a seamless, sophisticated design. As seen on America's Most Desperate Kitchens.

Season 1, Episode 7

Industrial Farmhouse

Anthony and John surprise Austin homeowners Josh and Jessica with a plan to remodel their 1940's cramped, drab, dark & dysfunctional kitchen. Hardly updated since it was built, the kitchen is not functional, has no flow and has very little storage for this busy family of 5. The cousins improve flow by removing French doors into a covered porch and adding a wall of cabinets topped with leathered granite, as well as a kitchen island, plenty of prep space and updated stainless steel appliances. The adjoining dining room gains French doors out to the back yard, a pub-height table set upon cabinets, a kids work area, industrial lighting and a wall of storage.
