Because quartz countertops are manufactured, the color and pattern possibilities are limitless—including varieties that are almost identical to granite or marble.

Perhaps one of the largest benefits of quartz surfaces is that they are stain- and heat-resistant, making them easy to maintain. The non-porous quality of quartz also makes it highly resistant to mold and bacteria contamination.

There are also different types of quartz countertops, including Silestone and Avanza. Silestone is made by a Spanish-based company and is a popular choice in green building projects because of its line of recycled countertops. The company also has a wide variety of color options for quartz countertops. On the other hand, Avaniza is a United-States based company that is known for its Italian-inspired designs.
