Audience Show and Tell: Pen Gifts, Lightbulb Snowmen

Barbara Tobey from Moreno Valley, Calif. makes beaded pens by covering a pen with industrial-strength double-sided tape, then foil, then another layer of tape, and finally rolling the pen in microbeads.

After a friend suggested it would be nice to have these pens with caps, Barbara decided to make pretty cases to hold the pretty pens.

She folds jacquard woven ribbon and seals edges with fabric glue to create neat little pen pockets.

Florine Marshik from Lubbock, Tex., joined Carol on the phone to share cute snowmen.

She creates hand-painted, glittered lightbulb and cigar-holder snowman ornaments.

They come in all shapes and sizes and each one is unique. Sometimes she embellishes them with fabric, ribbon, flowers, etc.
